There are certain moments in life when God whispers a direction so clearly that it shifts the entire course of your journey. Diary of Queen Esther was one of those moments for me.
Long before it was a brand, a business, or a boutique, it was simply a response to a need in my home. As a young mother, I wanted my children to have skincare that was gentle, natural, and free from harsh ingredients. What began as melted butters and simple oils in my kitchen slowly grew into a calling I didn’t fully recognize at first. Looking back, I can see that God was shaping something far bigger than I could imagine.
A Name That Came Through Prayer
When my original website was taken down years ago, I remember sitting in silence and asking God what He wanted me to do next. I didn’t have a plan, just a heart open to direction. In that still moment, I heard a soft and subtle voice speak: Diary of Queen Esther.
At the time, I didn’t fully understand it—but I obeyed.
As the brand grew, the name revealed its meaning. Just as Queen Esther was called for a specific purpose in a specific time, I began to understand that this business wasn’t just about products. It was about service, courage, preparation, inner beauty, and showing up for others in a way that reflects God’s heart.
Family: The First Inspiration
My children have always been at the center of this journey. They were the reason I started making natural products in the first place, and even now they love telling people, “My mom is a soap maker.”
They are my motivation to build a legacy—one that teaches them:
-
you don’t have to walk a traditional path,
-
God can call you into places you never expected,
-
and obedience opens doors you never thought you would walk through.
When customers share how my soaps have brought them comfort, soothed their children’s skin, or become part of their daily wellness routine, I can’t help but think of that first moment I melted shea butter on my stove trying to help my own babies. Family was the seed. Community has been the harvest.
Entrepreneurship as Ministry
Running Diary of Queen Esther has never been just about selling products. It has been a ministry—one rooted in helping people feel restored, comforted, and cared for through the power of natural ingredients.
But it has also been a ministry of presence:
-
showing up in farmers markets year after year,
-
praying silently for customers as they share their stories,
-
teaching about natural ingredients and wellness,
-
offering encouragement when people come to my table discouraged or tired,
-
and creating spaces where people feel seen.
Entrepreneurship has stretched me, humbled me, and strengthened my faith. It taught me to trust God with the “how,” even when the resources didn’t match the vision. And every time I thought a door was closed, God sent a window, a person, or an opportunity that reminded me that He planted this business with purpose.
The Heart Behind It All
Diary of Queen Esther is more than a handcrafted skincare boutique. It is a reflection of my heart, my faith, and my desire to pour into others what God has poured into me—hope, healing, beauty, and resilience.
Every jar, every bar, every class, every blog post is a testament to the journey of a single mother who trusted God with a small idea and watched Him turn it into a business that touches lives.
And the story is still unfolding.
My prayer is that as you use these products or walk this entrepreneurial journey with me, you feel the same truth that has held me through every season:
You are called. You are seen. And you are here on purpose.
